Almost all of our members helped.  We collected them in JULY so not all the members were at that meeting many were on vacation but we took the picture just the same.

Free Charity pattern - Scribbles & Friends

Club Rule:  Every member must donate 2 dolls to charity yearly or donate $10 towards a doll for charity.  The whole club works on this project every year.  We all devote one afternoon after one of our meetings to this project.

Ohio State Fair 2010 Showcase

 

The Guilded Lilies has help sponsor the competition this year for the doll entries.  We are proud to say we have raised the bar on the prize money and then number of art doll entries.  The Guilded Lilies will be at the Ohio State Fair Demonstrating August 2,3,4, and 5 in the Arts and Crafts Building.  If you are an Ohio Doll Artist and want to learn how you can enter you can go to after February 28, 2009 the new entry form will be up.   http://www.ohiostatefair.com/osf/osf3_3.htm

Community Service Can be Fun

  Every year the Guild puts together a Make it and take it for the fair.  This is our community service coupled with promoting Art Dolls.  In 2010 we were able to make over 1400 Pin dolls with the help of surrounding doll clubs in Ohio.  That was a record number of Make it and Take faces.  Below are some pictures of people enjoying themselves coloring in the faces. We talk to thousands of Ohio State Fair visitors every year.
