COLUMBUS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

500 Morse Road ;  Columbus ,  Ohio   located west of State Route   I-71. Take the Morse Road exit off of Rt. 71, go west on Morse Road .  Turn right into the school between Indianola and Sharon Roads. This is the only entrance you can use.  There is a small guard building at this entrance.  Tell the guard that you are with the Guilded Lilies and proceed to the Staff Conference Center , ask for directions if you do not have access to the web.

The COTA bus stops right in front of the entrance with the guard building on Morse Road where you can enter the campus.  If you are unable to walk to the Staff Conference Center from the guard building because of the weather, etc., please make arrangements for a member to pick you up at the guard building, or you can get a ride with a member when they stop at the guard building.  

JANET’S  STUDIO:     

From 670 West take the Grandview Ave. exit.  At light turn left and go around circle to light at McKinley Avenue.  You will be looking at COTA.  Turn left.  Follow McKinley until you get to Harper.  Turn left.    Harper turns into Valleyview.  It is the 2nd house past Toppy’s Salvage yard, on the left.  

 

Surface streets.  Take Hague Ave to Valleyview Drive. Turn west (toward the Hilltop Swim Club you can not miss it, It is a big outdoor swimming pool) Drive past the pool and through the curvy street to :

July - August  we have Demo Table at the Ohio State Fair - Free Entree Tickets for volunteers 

High Road Gallery - 2010 May/June Dot will be heading up this Gallery showing at the High Road Gallery.  this is a awesome show off of dolls at their best.

Dolls For Charity-This project is done by all members.  Every member must make one doll for charity every year. Those that can not work on the dolls will donate $10.00 gift of cash donation to a charity of there choice. This year we are making them as a group.  We have one pattern which was Designed for our group project.  March meeting we will be making Charity Dolls.  Please bring your sewing machines, fabric and everyone should bring at least one bag of stuffing. 

September2010 River City Doll Club  Every year we make it a point to share a day with our sister City Doll club.  One year we meet in Columbus and the next we meet in Cincinnati.  They are coming to Columbus in September 

Christmas Doll Exchange: Christmas we do a doll exchange.  You can sign up for the name exchange or you can just bring a doll and exchange a doll by drawing at the party on December 3, 2010.  This way if your not sure you will have time to get a doll done you do not have to be committed -  Either way the "Ain't Fittin" rule applies.  Don't expect one unless yours is finished and ready for exchange.
