Artist Statement by Cyndy Sieving
Primarily now I am interested in a building method that I have developed over trial and error. It allows me to build the faces and bodies much like using clay. Adding features one at a time, sewing, sculpting and shaping as I go. All of my dragons are done with this method. You will see other dolls I have used this method on as you stroll through the galleries. Recently I have been merging the Face and Body Building method with painting. Art is an endless cycle of trial and err, learning and teaching. I love people I love Art dolls and I love providing a public venue for people to learn
It seems that I have found a calling in bring people together with Artistic Figures in Cloth. It is by far the largest party I put on! A party of teachers, students and fun.
