Fiber Artists and Doll Makers Extravaganza

What is “Artistic Figures in Cloth?”

Artistic Figures In Cloth promotes fabric and fiber arts.  There are classes for all levels from beginners to advanced students. All the techniques taught at AFIC can be used to make dolls, but the level to which our students take their knowledge clearly crosses the line and the result is art.

AFIC is based on fabric figures but not limited to fabric. As an artist and doll maker you want to expand your skills.  We understand this and do not limit our classes to just fabric.  As our students’ interests grow, we want to grow with you. Art doll makers need to be able to branch out and merge a variety of techniques and products into their creations.   2011 workshops have everything you are looking for and more. There are 13 teachers and 24 workshops to choose from. Come join us and have more fun than you dreamed possible!

Exhibits and Vendors  * Public Welcome

Workshops are not the only fanfare at Artistic Figures In Cloth (AFIC).   The exhibits are breathtaking.  A large exhibit hall has been reserved to display our student’s and instructor’s art work.  We encourage our attendees to bring in 3 pieces of their work, for the “Just For Fun Exhibit”. The display is open on Saturday and Sunday for visitors to enjoy.  We have one of the most impressive exhibits of Artistic Figures in Cloth in the country.  If you can’t attend the conventions as a student,. you should definitely plan to see this gallery of dolls.
