What is "Artistic Figures in Cloth?"  This is our third magical convention. Artistic Figures In Cloth promotes fabric and fiber art in a three dimensional art form. I hesitate to call what we do dolls. The techniques taught at AFIC can clearly be used to make dolls but the level which our students take their knowledge and cross the line into art. AFIC art doll experience is more than just classes, it is a place where muses come out and play! The excitement of the students just adds to the already heightened atmosphere. The vendors put on an awesome display of their very best products. The exhibits are breath-taking and presented in a very professional atmosphere. The workshops are packed with techniques. This convention has a fun and cozy atmosphere while maintaining a well-run professional event.

AFIC is based on fabric figures but not limited to fabric. As an artist and/or doll maker you want to expand your skills. It is in your nature to incorporate new products and ideas into your work. This is part of the journey to creativity and learning. We understand this and do not limit our classes to just fabric. As our students’ interests grow, we want to grow with you. Artist/doll makers need to be able to branch out and merge a variety of techniques into their creations. 2007 workshops have everything you are looking for and more; there are special techniques and products for all levels in beading, face drawing, fabric manipulation, painting, sculpting and construction.
