Lady Gwenevere Art Doll - Marcia Acker Missall
Lady Gwenevere is a very feminine and regal doll. She is
highly embellished with textural treatments of fabrics, bead embroidery, dyeing,
stamping, drawing and more. Lady Gwenevere has moveable
arms & legs, which are jointed at elbows and knees, articulated, &
needle sculpted fingers with a separate thumb all of which are poseable. In
addition, this doll has needle-sculpted toes. There are a great variety
of skills and techniques to be learned in this class. The Lady Gwenevere
workshop doll will be your opportunity to learn, enhance and refine many
techniques in drawing, painting, dyeing and free motion machine embroidery. You
will learn beading, ribbon and thread embroidery and you will investigate
various methods of surface embellishing that will give your work beautiful and
uniquely original results. No two dolls will ever look the same. Yours will be
unique to you alone. You will also learn to give your doll’s face a
personality through methods of drawing a variety of facial expressions. Lady
Gwenevere will stretch your imagination envelope and you will add many new
techniques to your treasure chest of skills, techniques and approaches in
creating your own artistic cloth dolls.
