                  The hotel is fantastic and can accommodate the classes, banquet, exhibits, challenges, and vendors all in one place.  That’s right: no traveling from building to building because everything is in the hotel.  

University Plaza has change owners and with that comes changes from AFIC 2007.

1. In order to run AFIC at the same price as last year we have decided to serve a continental breakfast. The good news is  if you are staying at the hotel you get a Free buffet breakfast in the restaurant. 

2. The hotel no longer has a shuttle service to and from the airport.  Sept 1, 2008 I got  a quote from a cab company, $30.00 so please budget $30.00 to $35.00.

3. The hotel no longer has on-line booking. You need to call the 1-877-677-5292 toll free number to book your room. 

When making your reservation, tell the hotel you want the special rate for “Artistic Figures In Cloth.”   AFIC has a special rate of $89.00 a night!   Price is based on 1-4 persons occupancy.  Reservations must be made prior to April 3, 2009 to get this rate.

Cleveland: Take 71 South to the North Broadway exit (exit 114). Turn right on North Broadway and head west for approximately 2 miles. The intersection under the freeway overpass is Olentangy River Rd. Turn left on Olentangy. The University Plaza Hotel is approximately ½ mile on the left side.

Cincinnati:  Take 71 North to State Route 315 North. Take State Route 315 North to North Broadway exit. Turn right on Olentangy River Road. The University Plaza Hotel is approximately 1/2 mile on the left side (turn left at the traffic signal into the front area of the hotel).

East:  Take 70 West to 71 North. Take 71 North to North Broadway exit (exit 114). Turn left on North Broadway and head west for approximately 2 miles. The intersection under the freeway overpass is Olentangy River Road. Turn left on Olentangy. The University Plaza Hotel is approximately 1/2 mile on the left side (turn left at the traffic signal into the front area of the hotel).

West:  Take 70 East to State Route 315 North. Take State Route 315 North to North Broadway exit. Turn right onto Olentangy River Road. The University Plaza Hotel approximately 1/2 mile on the left side.

Airport:  Take I-670 west to State Route 315 north. Exit at Ackerman Rd and turn right on Ackerman Rd. Proceed to the third traffic light and turn left on Olentangy River. The hotel is 0.5 mile on the right.
