Linda Misa - Bunbury, Western Australia
Linda is a Western Australia based Textile artist, cloth doll pattern designer and teacher who has been creating with fabric since she was a child. Her passion for dolls, inspiration and sometimes model was her 3rd child, Isobella – a beautiful girl. Sometimes in life you find that precious thing that you know you were meant to do, for her that was creating dolls and playing with fibers, threads and fabrics.     Enjoying the process of making a doll or any textile piece is of uppermost importance.... the journey of creating …“the threads of life that unite us”Linda’s background training is a combination of Beauty Therapy, Clothing Design and teaching dancing. You can find her work published in magazine such as Australian Dolls, Bear and Collectables , UK Cloth Figure Quarterly, Soft Dolls and Animals and International Doll Collectors Magazine, Lark book, 500 Handmade Dolls. Along with on-line classes I sell patterns and teach in face-to-face workshops.Linda has been working on exploring the mediums that one can incorporate in making cloth dolls, jewelry and textile bags. She likes to use recycled fabric and enjoy the process of creating my own finished fabric with dyeing, screen printing, stamping, free motion machine embroidery and the wonderful embellisher needle felting machine. Color is of uppermost importance to her work. She strives to create a harmonious blend – in color, pattern and design. www.tact-ilse.blogspot.com
