This two day class will take you through a doll making journey that will demonstrate a variety of techniques. Transform mixed media and found elements into a one of a kind creation. Learn how to incorporate sculpted heads, purchased hands and other items with a wire armature. Create directly from your imagination. You will learn Cody's wire armature, sculpting and wrapping technique to rough out the form and strike a pose. Use found pieces, ephemera and variety of painting techniques to create the skin and finish on the piece. Accent your art work, Cody will guide you in detailing and embellishing to complete your masterpiece. Learn to take a molded face made of paper clay and alter it to create your own unique characters. Want to know what some of those fun acrylic mediums are and how to use them? Like the look of rusted ancient objects? You will learn about these in class and much more to create your skin texture and color. This class is for those wishing to take their doll making outside of the box and into the realm of true art pieces. As an added bonus, Cody will also discuss how to present your creations for gallery presentation. This class is listed Advanced beginner and up, but there is no sewing required!
