Cody’s adventure into using dolls as a
creative outlet began in 1990. Over the last eighteen plus years he has
worked with a variety of media for creating doll sculptures. Art for him
is spiritual. It guides him through both calm and turbulent times.
Starting out as a painter he lost the inspiration for painting. Quite by
accident the art of doll making came into his life. That was over eighteen
years ago. Cody feels he has come full circle and has found his way back
to painting. To Cody the process of making art is the one thing that
matters most and not the media used. Settling on mixed media, Cody now
uses a wide range of materials. Cody likes to express feelings or tell a
story with in his work.
