Flutter Rose - by Fran Parrigan Meehan

Everyone will bring their pre sewn and stuffed dolls to class. Learn how to properly attach the head to the body.  Then you cover the cloth body with real rose petals. This is Fran’s own tested technique.  The rose petals last and don’t turn over the years and she is going to share with you her secret. She currently has a set of rose petals which have been sealed tight from the air for over three years. Enhance your doll with butterfly antennas using wire and beads. Learn how to make beautiful butterfly wings out of hand dyed lace and Paverpol or Mod-podge.  She will show you how to attach hair using felting needles.  In addition to all these wonderful techniques and secrets, you will learn how to pre-draw face.  With the use of a mechanical pencil to start,  then color and shade in face features will be taught using colored pencils, colored pens and chalk pastels. Students will learn how to cover a wooden stand using fancy fiber papers and Paverpol.
