The Dame - A Workshop in Creation & Design By Natalie Hamade

Learn to create your own wearable art

In this class you will design, develop, and create your very own piece of art from concept to finished art piece. This is a class that doll artists dream of!  Natalie will guide you step by step as you use your imagination to make your own one of a kind work of art. Don‘t be afraid, Natalie will help you get through any jitters you may have.  Everyone will begin by drawing a simple sketch of a head with hair or headdress and torso. Then you will draft a pattern from freezer paper. Pieces will be sewn, stuffed, gessoed and painted.  This workshop entails painting with acrylics, watercolor and colored pencils. Embellishments will be added to give your art work a life of its own. Your work can include many other aspects, by adding decoupage, i.e. stickers, rub-ons, rubber stamps, gold leaf, etc. Beads will be created using Tyvek, Angelina fibers, paints, and incorporating glass beads.  Enjoy learning, creating and finishing a piece of art that is truly your own. This workshop has been created for those who desire to learn technique and value their individuality. Natalie’s unique style mixed with the intense layering and use of water colors, color pencils, pigma ink and pastels will add dimension to your face painting skills.  If you are ready to move to the next step this class is a must.
