Bastet - by Leta Benedict Learn to draw and sculpt faces, Leta’s step by step instructions teach you to create a perfect sculpted face every time. Her class includes such detailed sculpting guidance that beginners can easily follow and advance students can pick up more detailed information on sculpting. In this work shop you will cover body construction, face sculpting, and face painting including not only drawing the face but shading the face as well. Further instruction will include turning fingers and armature of the hands so that they can be posed. The applied costuming and wig making will be part of your learning experience. Finally learn how to make and perch your dolls on a base such as this. Bastet balances on a custom made stand; learn the secret of Leta’s elegant base construction.

Fat quarter of fabric for the head and chest
10X24” piece of fabric for the body
5 yards of 2.5” ribbon for pantaloons and top of skirt
15 yards .5” soft ribbon for gathering at the top of her breast and around waist
.25 yard of material for sleeves and skirt. I used a sheer fabric I could burn the edges for the skirt.
