We will be looking for Instructors and Workshops:

I start this process early but truly do not expect applications back until the first of April 2010.  Here is my process:

For an application to teach email me at Cyndy@cyndysdolls.com I start sending out applications in October of 2009.  These applications are sent to teachers I have seen on the internet, word of mouth or requests.  If I have not sent you an application or contacted you a please email me. I do not expect the applications to be returned until April 1, 2010. I make my final selection by May 1, 2010 and have the contracts in the mail and signed and back to me by May 30, 2010.  The brochure is then put together that summer and the web site is up Sept. 1, 2010.  Nine months prior to the event.  I have never missed a dead line yet so if you want to be on the Artistic Figures in Cloth Staff please contact me.   Please feel free to submit as many different classes as you like.

Here are some things you can think about:

1.) 3 day classes do not usually do well.  There are so many teachers to chose from that students are reluctant to take a 3 day class and I am reluctant to take a 3 day class on anymore.  If you submit a 3 day class I am not saying I will not take it but it defiantly needs to be outstanding and unique.

2.) Sewing machine and air flights do not go together anymore.  If you can have pre sewing done at home the students have  expressed that they would prefer to do their sewing and stuffing at home.  This also could cut down a 3 or 2 day class to a 2 or 1 day class if the basics were in the students pre work.

3.) New and unique artistic ideas and techniques.

4.) If you are submitting of the "Doll that will be made in class"  One picture will be fine.  If you are submitting a "Concept Class" This is where you teach a concept and the students walk away with each a totally different type of sculpture then if you could submit several different examples in your pictures that helps me a lot during the selection process.
